Nokia's HERE division is worth E1bn assuming a similar market cap as TomTom (TMOAF.PK) but offers significant upside as maps become the next platform for e-commerce. Assuming Nokia's net cash position declines to E2bn at Q3 from E4.1bn in Q2 (given the E1.7bn NSN deal as well as incremental cash burn due to supporting product launches), the combined value of Nokia's Net Cash, HERE division and NSN division is in line with the current market cap of Nokia.

As in past years, most of the attention around Cracker Barrel's stock lately has come from the ongoing battle between the company and Biglari Holdings (NYSE: BH  ) , which owns roughly 20% of Cracker Barrel's shares. Back in February, the company offered to buy back Biglari's stock in hopes that it could avoid a third consecutive proxy fight to try to get Biglari CEO Sardar Biglari onto the board of directors. However, there are a couple of bright spots out there. First, sales of Westport's 12 liter ISX12 G, being co-built withCummins (NYSE: CMI  ) , are on track to meet targets for 2014 according to a number of industry experts. Sales of natural gas trucks in 2014 are expected to have grown 27% this year versus 2013. Also, part of the delay in bringing HPDI to market is Westport's shift to HPDI 2.0, and the adoption of HPDI 2.0 by development partners likeAB Volvo (NASDAQOTH: VOLVY  ) . The injector components are expected to be manufactured in Westport's venture withDelphi Automotive (NYSE: DLPH  ) , and the costs will be less than earlier versions, helping natural gas engines be more cost-competitive with diesel.

While many precious-metals companies have been in a slump of late, there is one that belongs perpetually in your portfolio: Silver Wheaton (NYSE: SLW  ) . The company is not like other miners -- including Pan American Silver (NASDAQ: PAAS  ) and First Majestic (NYSE: AG  ) -- in that it has a unique business plan that insulates it against many of the vagaries of the mining business. Moreover, because silver will always have a significant industrial demand component, even with the heightened volatility you see in the silver market, maintaining exposure to silver is appropriate.

Yesterday, Danaher (DHR) named a new CEO. JPMorgan’s C. Stephen Tusa andRajat Guptaexplain the significance:

After the close today, Danaher announced that Tom Joyce will be appointed as President and CEO of the company effective Sept 9, 2014, replacing Larry Culp, who will transition to a senior advisory role and serve until March 1, 2016. This is a change from the prior plan, which had called for Culp to step aside in March 2015.

While plenty of debate will ensue, we believe that a pulled forward transition process is a net positive sign, showing a sense of urgency on breaking the malaise around an under-utilized balance sheet with a potentially accelerated timeline on strategic moves to create value. Even if there is less meaning near term, there is no change to business quality, best in class culture and well above average balance sheet resourceseys to our OW rating.

Shares of Danaher have gained 0.4% to $76.69 at 11:26 a.m. today.

Tesla (TSLA), the upstart automaker that once could do no wrong, now can do no right.

Tesla’s 10-day volatility has surged to 113.23%, up from 47.29% on Oct. 23. Its implied volatility–that is, the amount of volatility implied by Tesla’s options–has dropped to 55.92% from 82% during the same period.

The Trust employs two custodians. The Royal Canadian Mint (Mint) acts as custodian for the Trust's physical gold bullion, pursuant to a precious metals storage agreement between the Manager, for and on behalf of the Trust, and the Mint, to which it refers as the precious metals storage agreement. Gold trusts and ETFs
One of the easiest ways to profit off of a rising gold price is to buy shares in one of the various exchange-traded gold trusts. These are essentially closed-end funds that own physical gold bullion located in a vault. Each share of the trust represents a fractional ownership share of the physical bullion in the vault. Thus, these trusts could be an easy way to purchase gold exposure directly on an exchange. One example of a trust like this is theSprott Physical Gold Trust (NYSEMKT: PHYS  ) .

Advisors' Opinion:

One company with seemingly limitless upside potential today was senior housing operator Emeritus (NYSE: ESC  ) , which gained 35.2% after agreeing to be purchased by Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD  ) for $1.4 billion, excluding debt. Under the terms of the deal, Emeritus shareholders will receive 0.95 shares of Brookdale, and would effectively own 23% of the outstanding shares of the company once the merger is complete. Brookdale anticipates the deal being EPS neutral in 2014, and forecasts it adding $0.40 in EPS by the third year. The move certainly makes sense on paper, as cost synergies will help these two senior housing companies fight back against the expectation of declining Medicare reimbursement rates. However, over the long run, the Medicare reimbursement picture is still very cloudy, making Brookdale a riskier buy at the moment following today's announcement.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Roberto Pedone]

First Security Group (FSGI) operates as the holding company for FSGBank, which provides banking products and services to various communities in Tennessee and Georgia. This stock closed up 6.5% to $2.29 in Tuesday's trading session.

    Tuesday's Range: $2.16-$2.30

    52-Week Range: $1.30-$7.45

    Tuesday's Volume: 80,000

    Three-Month Average Volume: 509,606

From a technical perspective, FSGI ripped higher here right above some near-term support levels at $2.14 to $2.12 with lighter-than-average volume. This move is quickly pushing shares of FSGI within range of triggering a major breakout trade. That trade will hit if FSGI manages to take out some near-term overhead resistance levels at $2.38 to $2.52 and then once it clears its 200-day moving average at $2.80 with high volume.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in FSGI as long as it's trending above some key support levels at $2.14 to $2.12 and then once it sustains a move or close above those breakout levels with volume that hits near or above 509,606 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then FSGI will set up to re-fill some of its previous gap down zone from June that started at $5.08.

  • [By Ning Jia]

The case for First Security Group (FSGI) is interesting. It is bank holding company that is obscure, cheap and unloved. As the company completed the recapitalization earlier this year, I think the market has been under-appreciating its potential to return to growth and profitability as a result of the much-needed recapitalization.

On behalf of most of my clients in 2013, I chose to overweight tech and health care. However, I did so with areas that are traditionally less volatile. I continue to own Powershares Pharmaceuticals (PJP) and/or SPDR Select Healthcare (XLV). I’ve been a proponent of “old tech” with the attractive prices and dividends; First Trust NASDAQ Tech Dividend (TDIV) fits the bill. Additionally, I have remained faithful to iShares Small Cap Value (IJS) for small-cap exposure, rather than hop on the IWO express.

Could this be the real deal this time? There's no denying that InvenSense has pretty solid technology, particularly as Samsung -- which typically uses the best components it can find -- has so extensively used InvenSense's products. That said, the iPhone 5s used the following MEMS components:

Three-axis accelerometer from Bosch Sensortech Three-axis gyroscope from STMicroelectronics (STM) Three-axis electronic compass from AKM

For InvenSense to displace Bosch (which managed to wrestle away the accelerometer socket from STMicroelectronics) and/or STMicroelectronics over at Apple, it is going to have to present a pretty compelling value proposition. Whether it can do so only the tear-! downs will tell, but it is surprising -- particularly given how compelling InvenSense's products seem to be -- that the company hasn't won an iPhone socket to date.

10 Best Prefered Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Paragon Shipping Inc.(PRGN)

Paragon Shipping Inc. provides shipping transportation services worldwide. The company engages in the ocean transportation of various drybulk cargoes and containers. Its fleet consists of 11 drybulk vessels with a total carrying capacity of 747,994 dwt. The company was founded in 2006 and is based in Voula, Greece.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Lisa Levin]

This industry fell 1.80% by 11:00 am ET. Paragon Shipping (NASDAQ: PRGN) shares dropped 3.9% in today's trading. Paragon Shipping's trailing-twelve-month ROE is -21.70%.

  • [By Roberto Pedone]

Another under-$10 name shipping player that's starting to move within range of triggering a big breakout trade is Paragon Shipping (PRGN), which is engaged in transporting drybulk cargoes, including such commodities as iron ore, coal, grain and other materials along shipping routes worldwide. This stock has been on fire so far in 2013, with shares up sharply by 114%.

If you take a look at the chart for Paragon Shipping, you'll notice that this stock just recently took out its 50-day moving average of $4.19 a share with strong upside volume. Shares of PRGN are showing relative strength today, despite the overall market weakness, which shows this stock is in strong demand at current levels. This move is now starting to push shares of PRGN within range of triggering a big breakout trade

Market players should now look for long-biased trades in PRGN if it manages to break out above some near-term overhead resistance at $4.90 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above that level with volume that hits near or above its three-month average action of 25,811 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then PRGN will set up to re-test or possibly take out its 52-week high at $5.70 a share. If that level gets taken out with volume, then PRGN could easily tag its next major overhead resistance levels at $7 to $8.35 a share.

Traders can look to buy PRGN off weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below its 50-day moving average of $4.19 a share, or below its 200-day moving average at $3.74 a share. One can also buy PRGN off strength once it clears $4.90 a share with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point. I would add to either position once PRGN takes out its 52-week high at $5.70 a share with strong upside volume flows.

It sells its products to original equipment manufacturers and retailers through internal sales force, independent sales representatives, and distributors, as well as through a Web-based customer direct sales channel. The company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Riddhi Kharkia] has experienced considerable volatility owing to the turbulent demand-supply in the DRAM industry. Major players in the DRAM industry including Micron, Samsun and SK Hynix have already come out with their next gen product DDR4 SDRAM which is, in the sense of term, evolutionary. DDR4 enhances system-level capacity and performance scalability and at the same time consumes quite less power in comparison to the previous versioni.e., DDR3. Thus, it is not difficult to infer that the DRAM markets will see significant competitor activity in the coming times and Samsung recent announcement to convert its Hwaseong facility to DRAM production signals strengthening supply in the market.

    DRAM is the growth getter

The president of Micron, Mr. Mark Adams, indicated that Samsung announcement to convert a single facility does not necessarily imply an increase in DRAM demand. Rather, it is a validation of what Micron has been saying for long time .e., no one is going to go out and line up a whole new factory. Keeping the announcement from Samsung aside, it is significant to note that Micron itself expects a 25% CAGR growth in DRAM industry whereas the supply is expected to grow at 21% during the next four years. Thus, this imbalance between demand and supply growth will lead to an improvement in the average selling prices of DRAM chips and overall margins.

In the last year, Micron famously acquired Elpida (now known as Micron Memory Japan) for $2.5 billion, which escalated the semiconductor giant to a dominant position in the DRAM sphere. One of the biggest benefits of this acquisition was the addition of Apple to Micron customer book. Currently Apple uses DDR3 modules in all of its high performance PC and mobile devices but considering the power efficiency and system capability offered by the DDR4 module, Apple might incorporate DDR4 in order to power its mobile devices. Even though there is no certainty over the use of DDR4 chips by App
